Aspley takes up affordable challenge

Coast 2 Bay Community and Affordable Housing Group was right on point with winning the Affordable category at the Queensland Apartment Awards for Excellence for their project at 2 Aspley Crescent.
The AAA judges were encouraged to see that this company was championing affordable and social housing on the Sunshine Coast and hence demonstrating that this type of housing can stack up.
"Rent for these residents was priced at $275/week, when the average for the area is $650," Ms Reece, CEO AAA said.
"The apartments are rated silver and gold star for accessibility and from approval to construction was just two years.
"The residents seemed to be content with the standard of living and this project certainly picked up the shortfall from the NRAS scheme coming to a conclusion.
"This type of leadership needs to be acknowledged and championed even more so."
