AAA Apartment Audit and Assurance Accreditation Programme

The Full Story

AAA has been working on its Apartment Audit and Assurance Accreditation Programme since November 2021 to address the concerning element of critical defects in apartments (50-60%).  Water penetration from within (water proofing), water penetration from outside (windows, doors, facades, rooves), structural cracking and fire installation are by far the biggest concerns and this impacts on consumer confidence with buying off the plan (currently only 14% feel confident buying off the plan - source 2023 AAA Apartment Living survey).

The Apartment Audit and Assurance Accreditation Programme commences with the fire block and engineer plan review and then encompasses the compaction tests, basement concrete pour (and every floor after that), waterproofing, fire installation, windows and doors, cladding and rooves.  AAA knows that if the association can reduce the element of defects, then it can secure insurance for apartments over four storeys - where at present there is none.

To help us secure two apartment audits AAA is seeking investor funding.  For a full CIM please complete the details below.  To learn more about the audit and what it means to the apartment sector, click here.
