Ageing in luxury

Cox Architecture and Aura Holdings have taken out the coveted Ageing in Place category for the Queensland Apartment Awards for Excellence for Somerset Indooroopilly Retirement Community, catapulting them now to the National Awards.

This development is a master planned independent living development consisting of 168 residential apartments and community spaces within the Indooroopilly Golf Course.

The scheme incudes significant on site resident amenity including indoor pool, gym, lounges and café.

The land is developed in leasehold to the Club and provides ongoing revenue to the Club to support continuity of a community offering.

Embracing its lush, green surrounds, the community focuses on preserving substantial vegetation on site with the apartments utilising less than 2% of the total golf course site.

Ms Reece AAA stated te judges had loved how expansive the apartments were and how they were virtually nestled within the landscape.
